The capacitive touch display installed in the new Moniceiver DMX8020DABS is finished with an anti-glare coating that noticeably reflects the surface without sacrificing clarity or contrast. So the screen can be easily read even in sunlight. Together with the anti-reflection coating, the new display ensures outstanding image quality and readability.

Apple CarPlay

CarPlay - the smart and safe way to operate your iPhone in the car. With KENWOOD this type of iPhone integration is taken to a new level: Voice commands are reliably implemented via the Siri function, alternatively the large buttons can be used to control Apple maps, phone functions or the music player. With the latest iOS version (iOS 12.0 and above), navigation applications such as Google Maps and Waze are also supported. Thanks to the WiFi function of the DMX8020DABS, Apple smartphones can even be connected wirelessly. (Compatible smartphone required)

Android Wireless Mirroring

Thanks to the WiFi function of the Moniceiver DMX8020DABS, the connection can be easily connected wirelessly via Android wireless mirroring. So you have quick and convenient access to all apps including navigation and music via the touch screen.

Users of an Android-based smartphone can comfortably take their usual smartphone environment with you thanks to the "Android Auto" developed by Google. The user interface of Android Auto is designed for a particularly simple and intuitive operation. Alternatively to control via the generously sized touch buttons, many of the applications provided by Android Auto can also be operated comfortably and without taking your hands off the steering wheel via voice control. The proven "Google Maps" is used for navigating Android Auto and allows an exact, voice-assisted route guidance including the integration of current traffic data, clear tracking and many other additional functions. In addition to the basic applications, many other apps are compatible with Android Auto and can expand the functionality range with messaging services, internet radio services or other compatible apps.

The current Kenwood Moniceivers are capable of playing Hi-Res audio files with a resolution of up to 192kHz/24bit. Such files contain much more information compared to a standard CD recording with 44.1 kHz/16 bit. This additional information and the significantly extended frequency range ensure fascinating sound quality and an incredibly acoustic sense of space when listening to a hi-res audio file.

Bluetooth hands-free kit

The Bluetooth module allows safe and comfortable calls while driving. The voice quality is ensured by the included external microphone and a sophisticated sound processing with suppression of echo and background noise. Particularly practical is the possibility to pair two phones at the same time and operate in parallel. With the new "Kenwood Music Mix" function, up to 5 phones can be paired in parallel for music playback. When audio streaming via A2DP, the AVRCP 1.5 profile is used with advanced control and search functions including display of title, artist, album, etc. Thanks to the touch menus, the operation of all Bluetooth functions is very easy, access to the phone's phonebook is also possible as the recall function.

Kenwood Remote S

The Kenwood Remote S app makes compatible Android and Apple smartphones an extensive remote control for compatible Kenwood Moniceiver. The app is controlled via large touch buttons for basic commands such as pause or track jump can be carried out via the app on the smartphone. The Kenwood Remote S app is available in the Google Playstore and the App Store.

DSP with digital runtime correction

The diverse digital audio features of the Kenwood Moniceivers help to perfectly implement the brilliant sound of the 24 bit D/A converter even in difficult acoustic conditions in the car. In addition to a 13-band equaliser or a digital active switch, features such as the "Stage EQ" help to make music playback in the car as realistic and faithful as possible. In addition, the digital sound processor allows runtime correction for time-correct music playback and can be individually adjusted for each channel.

Easy pairing and voice control

Thanks to the "Easy Pairing" routine, the first time pairing of a smartphone for both iPhone and Android is completely easy and is first done via USB cable. Once this process has been through, the smartphone is included in the pairing list and then automatically connected to the Moniceiver. The voice control engines of many current smartphones are particularly practical, which can be used with the Kenwood Moniceivers. The corresponding menu icon on the Kenwood device allows you to activate the voice control of the smartphone and accept voice commands.

Adjustable viewing angle

The responsive 7 inch capacitive touch panel has a screen diagonal of 17.7 cm and shows a particularly clear, high-contrast image. In order to always ensure optimal readability even in bright sunshine or difficult installation angles, the contrast and brightness distribution of the display can be adjusted according to the viewing angle in five levels. So the screen menus are always displayed with particularly rich black and good contrast.

Removable dual USB cable

The DMX8020DABS has a dual USB port on the back of the device. For example, a smartphone can also be connected in parallel to a permanently remaining USB memory in the car, which only remains on the USB port while driving. The USB cable is equipped with an interference-resistant plug-in connection and thus makes it easier to lay during installation. Both USB ports each provide up to 1.5A charging current to charge connected devices in operation.

3 camera inputs

The Navitainer and Moniceiver equipped with 3 camera inputs allow for maximum comfort, flexibility and safety. The 3 camera inputs can be connected to a front camera, a KENWOOD dash cam (DRV-N520 sold separately) and a rear view camera. Alternatively, several other configurations such as connecting 2 blind spot cameras and a rear view camera are also supported.
